Run, Tara, Run
Fresh Start....
Fresh start... new year resolution etc... i am more determined than ever to do this... i still have a marathon in my sights, but for now i am just focusing on regular work outs, i am starting VERY slow to avoid injury, right now i am starting with 3-4 days a week 20 minutes or so and stopping if my knees or ankles start hurting (and so far after 2 days of hitting the gym, they have not been hurting at all.
i am looking forward to it, and glad to get out of the house to the gym.
so stats on the side as usual, when i start doing more i might change the way i track it, but for now time and distance should be plenty..
HAPPY NEW YEAR
That's right..
You see it over there on the sidebar, although you probably won't believe it... I have run 4 out of 5 days this week... and plan to run again tomorrow.. 7.73 miles so far.. I rock, that is right... I ROCK!!!
:)
Slowly but surely
Well, i have worked out 3 days in a row again, although last night was just barely enough to call a workout, but my knee started early so i figured i would quit before it got worse and then today i just did a mile again instead of pushing too hard. my knee was a little sore, but wasn't so bad i couldn't finish a mile. probably take tomorrow off, and then sunday try and go back to a full 30 minutes. just gonna take it slow and make sure i don't hurt myself.
going strong
I had a slow weekend because i hurt the heck out of my calf last week so i didn't run thur-sunday. monday i went back slow and had a good day, tuesday work interfered with a workout.
Yesterday i had some knee pain so i just did a stationary bike for 20 minutes, and today i was back on the treadmill for a 20 min run/walk. still feeling good. 5k here i come!
blah blah blah
i know i say this all the time :P but this time i mean it
I am so ready to restart this marathon thing, starting small once again with the Carlsbad 5k in April. i am 2 for 2 so far this year as far as exercise days, and plan to keep the momentum going.
I did it again :)
ran again this morning.. i skipped yesterday due to a migraine, and did a shorter run today to try and avoid annoying the migraine gods :) so far so good :)
headed out for a vacation tomorrow afternoon, heat index at my destination will be 100+ for what looks like a good portion of my visit so i will most likely not be doing much running until i get back home.
For realz this time
OK, couple things....
1) Happy Birthday to me :P
2) First day of my sabbatical (6 weeks of time off work to relax and refocus)
3) I am seriously going to start running... part of my 'refocus'
